The National Park Service is offering fee-free weekends this summer to increase tourism and boost the economy. Take your family and enjoy an affordable weekend of fun.
There are 147 National Park Service sites that currently charge entrance fees. A listing of national parks, monuments, historic trails, recreation areas, preserves, and historic sites that are located in California can be found here. The two closest local national parks are Yosemite and Sequoia & Kings Canyon.
To help make these weekends more affordable, many national park concessioners are joining the National Park Service on these fee-free weekends with their own special offers.
